Andre Adams has been included in the Notts Outlaws team to face Somerset in Sunday’s Friends Life t20 quarter-final at Trent Bridge (play starts 1.45pm).
More than 9000 tickets have been pre-sold for the match with a place at Finals Day on offer. Tickets will be available for purchase from the sales points on Bridgford Road on Sunday.
Alex Hales and Samit Patel are both included having returned to the Outlaws’ camp after featuring in England Lions’ draw with Sri Lanka.
“There’s quite a bit of excitement amongst the players given that we’ve had some excellent results in the CB40 and gathered a decent number of points in the Championship ahead of Sunday’s match,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“Our home support has been fantastic throughout the competition and the atmosphere can serve to raise the game of the home side which we hope to take advantage of.
“We want to see our top five batsmen take responsibility and bat through the innings and if that happens, and we maintain our standards in the field and bowl well, we have every chance of making Finals Day.”
Despite finishing fourth in the South Group, Somerset will represent stern opposition at Trent Bridge. The two sides met at the semi-final stage last season with Kieron Pollard’s catch shifting the Duckworth-Lewis par score in his side’s favour as rain struck at the Rose Bowl.
“Somerset are a strong side and there’s a bit of added interest given last year’s semi-final,” said Newell.
“It’s going to be a game between two confident sides but we’ll take pride and belief from our home record this season.”
