Lancashire duly completed their victory over Notts at Cleethorpes half an hour before lunch on the final day.
 
Playing in glorious sunshine for the first time this season Notts were unable to make much headway to the target of 340. Sam Kelsall was bowled for 27 in the third over and wickets fell regularly after that with no one able to stay at the wicket and compile a score. Cheetham took 5-62 for the visitors
