Notts Academy 264-8 (20) pts beat Radcliffe on Trent 116 (3pts) by 148 runs
The Academy had a convincing victory over their hosts winning with more than 10 overs remaining.
Winning the toss and batting Notts compiled a competitive score thanks to a fine 74 from skipper Scott Elstone from 51 balls with 44 coming from boundaries. Hassan Azad opening the innings compiled an assured 55 from 81 balls; whilst Sam Wood also scored a half century from 60 balls with eight fours.
Adam Shepherd supported aswell and the last ten overs saw 84 runs added to the score
Radcliffe lost two early wickets to Adam Shepherd who took 3-16 from his opening spell of seven overs and then returned to help finish the innings with a further two wickets to finish with 5-19.
Bobby Gamble bowled a fine six over spell of 2-5 and with Scott Elstone claiming 2-38 from his eleven overs. Apart from Rob Sutton who battled hard for his 35 the home side had no answer to the Academy attack.
