Left-arm seamer Mark Footitt has agreed to join Derbyshire having been released by Notts in August.
The 23-year-old paceman played nine first-class matches during his time at Trent Bridge and is a former England Under 19’s and Academy international.
“This is a great opportunity for me to establish myself as a first-class cricketer and the first job is to work hard during the winter and through pre-season to earn a first team place,” said Footitt.
“I am stepping into a new and exciting challenge and I am now determined to prove myself at my new club. Hopefully that challenge can bring out the best in me.”
