Ryan Sidebottom has been cleared to play for Nottinghamshire against Somerset in the LV County Championship from Wednesday.
The England paceman sat out of Nottinghamshire’s Friends Provident Trophy fixtures against Ireland and Worcestershire but will join Mark Ealham, Andre Adams and Luke Fletcher in a four-pronged seam attack.
His inclusion is particularly relevant whilst Charlie Shreck and Darren Pattinson recover from injuries. Shreck is nearing a return having been included in Nottinghamshire’s second XI this week whilst Pattinson continues to make positive progress after suffering an ankle injury against Worcestershire at Trent Bridge.
Alex Hales will open alongside Bilal Shafayat with Ali Brown batting at number six and Mark Wagh, Samit Patel and Adam Voges complete the top order.
Nottinghamshire team to face Somerset: Alex Hales, Bilal Shafayat, Mark Wagh, Samit Patel, Adam Voges, Ali Brown, Chris Read, Mark Ealham, Andre Adams, Ryan Sidebottom, Luke Fletcher
