Charlie Shreck will captain the Nottinghamshire Second Eleven in today’s Trophy game against Worcestershire at Worksop College.

Loan signing Scott Newman will open alongside former Notts man Guy Welton with Alex Hales and Will Jefferson completing the top order.

“We’ll give Scott free reign to show us what he can do and he’s got an opportunity to pick up a good score and get in the mix,” said Second Eleven Coach Wayne Noon.

“Charlie Shreck sets very high standards for himself and he’ll be looking to bowl a lot of overs and find form in these games.”

Kevin O’Brien, Andy Carter and Mark Footitt are also included. Rain looks likely to delay the scheduled start time of 11am.
