Luke Fletcher took three wickets in an over as Notts slipped to a 96 run defeat in a 50-over friendly against Kent.
Joe Denly (107) amd Rob Key (94) made a solid start for Kent before Fletcher's disruption but were soon back on track, recording 355-5.
Notts made 259 with composed knocks from Paul Franks (76), Mark Wagh (49) and Mark Ealham (48).
"The result isn't too important but we've used the three days to get some cricket into the players and to give the fringe players the chance to force their way in," said Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
"Luke Fletcher bowled nicely and we got to know more about Ali and Jason Brown."
Brown won't feature in Nottinghamshire's two day friendly against Leicestershire beginning Sunday at Grace Road after reporting a painful shoulder.
