Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell praised the efforts of Paul Franks and Andre Adams as the pair took three wickets each on the second day of the friendly against Essex at Chelmsford.
Adams and Franks have shown good form in pre-season and will enjoy a free Easter weekend before reporting for fitness tetsing with th rest of the squad on Tuesday.
"Essex had a near full-strength side playing so it was pleasing for Andre and Paul to take three wickets each," said Newell.
"It was useful match practice and the intensity made it feel like a competitive fixture."
Alex Hales was struck on the head fielding at short leg but escaped serious injury.
Notts face Middlesex at Trent Bridge in back to back one day friendlies on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th April.
