Darren Pattinson has been included in the Notts Outlaws team to face Lancashire Lightning at Trent Bridge this evening in place of Paul Franks (play starts at 4.10pm).
Will Jefferson and Graeme Swann will open the batting in a side otherwise unchanged from Sunday’s win over Middlesex at Lord’s.
Notts will be crowned champions of NatWest Pro40 Division One if they win this evening’s floodlit fixture and overcome Sussex Sharks at Trent Bridge on Sunday.
“We have to take things one game at a time but we’re in a nice situation knowing that we’re in a position to win NatWest Pro40,” said Notts Captain Chris Read.
“I don’t want us to do anything differently and I won’t be ranting and raving because that will build additional pressure. We’ll make plans and carry them out to the best of our ability and if we’re the best team on the day then we will win.
“We came second last year but we want silverware and it’s come down to the final two games. I would love the chance to stand in front of the crowd with a trophy and say ‘this is ours’ but it’s very much a team game and it would mean a lot to us all to come away as champions.”
The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 3 with on-line commentary available via the BBC Sport website.
