Notts Outlaws line-up under lights for the second time this season when Lancashire Lightning visit Trent Bridge for a NatWest Pro40 clash next Wednesday.
The club’s six permanent floodlights made a positive impression on the Notts players and they will be keen to find winning form having suffered a Duckworth-Lewis defeat against Durham in August.
“Captains usually prefer to win the toss and bat first in day-night games and make use of the natural light but standards of floodlights are improving and ours are as good as any in the world,” said Notts batting coach Paul Johnson.
“Andre Adams has played a lot of floodlit cricket and he commented on the intensity of the lights on the square. If we bowl first and the seamers are on their game then our batsmen can register big totals under the lights.”
