Notts seamer Mark Footitt has signed a new one year deal at Trent Bridge.
Footitt made his club debut against Glamorgan in 2005 but has been plagued by injuries and failed to make an appearance in 2008.
“We feel that Mark is a talent worth persisting with because he is potentially the quickest bowler that we’ve got and having a left-arm variation will be a valuable asset,” said Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“Last season was ruined for him because of a run of injuries but he’ll be working very hard to get fit through the winter and it’s up to him to push for a place in the early stages of next season.”
