Former New Zealand all-rounder Andre Adams could be drafted into the Outlaws side for Monday’s Friends Provident Trophy game against Ireland at Trent Bridge.
Adams has been named in Mick Newell’s 13-man squad for the fixture after catching the eye with a solid knock in a Second XI win over Scotland last week.
“Andre’s presence gives us another option and it bodes well for our prospects in one day competitions that we can name so many all-rounders in our side,” said Newell.
“We could have sealed our progression with a win against Northants but it wasn’t to be and now this game has taken on added importance.
“It’s a must-win game for us and Ireland will have taken heart from beating Warwickshire but it would be nice to get through in front of our home support.”
Play begins at 12 noon.
