Peter Wright is Nottinghamshire’s new Chairman in succession to Barry Pailing, who stood down after last month’s Annual Meeting.
Mr Wright, who was previously Vice-Chairman, is the Managing Director of Gunn & Moore and has served on the Committee at Trent Bridge since 1987.
As an off-spinner-batsman, he represented the county at Under-19 level and also made some 40 appearances for Notts Second XI.
He said: “A couple of years ago I wouldn’t have been able to take on the role because of my business commitments but times have changed. Because of the excellent senior management team we have in place, there’s no longer the same requirement for the Chairman to be hands-on on a daily basis.”
Richard Tennant is the new Vice-Chairman and Ray Dawson replaces him as Chairman of Finance.
