Matt Wood is a major doubt for Friday’s opening fixture in the Twenty20 cup after being injured during Nottinghamshire’s LV County Championship draw with Lancashire at old Trafford.
Chris Read and Paul Franks shared a partnership of 70 to secure the result after Will Jefferson, Mark Wagh and Samit Patel fell to Dominic Cork in the same over.
Read and Lancashire captain Luke Sutton shook hands on a draw with 11 overs of the allocation remaining on day four.
“Dominic Cork is always dangerous and when we lost the three quick wickets it became difficult for us but Paul Franks and Chris Read saw us through,” said Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“We were never in a position to win the game so we have to be happy with the draw.
“Adam seems to be OK after his wrist problem but Matt Wood was hit in the ribs in the field and could be a doubt for our first Twenty20 match.”
Lancashire had declared at 234-6 in their second innings, setting Notts 315 for victory, and after Jefferson reached 32, Cork had him lbw before seeing Wagh caught down the leg side and Patel bowled for a golden duck.
The result leaves Notts third in the LV County Championship table, four points behind leaders Yorkshire.
