Bilal Shafayat has kept his place in the Notts side to face Yorkshire at Trent Bridge in the LV County Championship.
Shafayat has shown good form in NatWest Pro40 with knocks of 67 and 41 helping to earn his third championship appearance.
Will Jefferson misses out with Darren Pattinson’s elevation to the England Test side giving Paul Franks a place in the Notts bowling attack alongside Charlie Shreck, Andre Adams and Mark Ealham.
“Bilal deserves his opportunity and he’s earned the chance to have an extended run in the side. Hopefully he’ll react positively and justify the selection.” said Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“We gave Will every opportunity and he knows what he has to do to get back into the side and he’ll be keen to put his case forward in the second eleven.”
Chris Read scored 142 as Yorkshire and Notts played out a rain affected draw at Headingley in May.
Yorkshire, who have lost their last two Championship games against Kent and Durham, have included Matthew Hoggard and Tim Bresnan in their squad.
