Andy Carter took five wickets as the Notts Second XI drew with MCC Young Cricketers at Lady Bay.
Carter’s recorded first-innings figures of 5-60 and AJ Harris and Mark Footitt were also amongst the wickets to see the MCC all out for 183.
Will Jefferson’s 81 helped Notts to a first innings lead but persistent showers negated any hopes of a home win.
“The seam bowlers performed to good effect, particularly because we lost the toss on a flat wicket,” said Notts Coach Wayne Noon.
“Andy Carter is learning in every game that he’s played and he’s managed to stay injury-free in his first full season of second team cricket.”
Fit-again Footitt took 2-39 in the first innings and hit a quick 45 as he looks to put his injury woes behind him.
“There was no pressure on Mark last week and he had the chance to ease himself back quite gently but he was a bit more full-on in this one and found some decent pace,” said Noon.
Notts Second XI travel to Warwickshire for a three-day fixture beginning Wednesday.
