Notts bowler Stuart Broad heaped praise on his England team mates after recording his best ever one day figures in Tuesday’s resounding victory at Trent Bridge.
Broad’s haul of 5-23 helped to sink South Africa who had no answer for England’s four-pronged pace attack.
"All of the nicks went for us and we caught well and fielded well and then finished it off with a great batting performance,” said Broad
"I'm delighted to have picked up the wickets but it is more about being part of a bowling unit.
"I'm delighted with five, but I have probably bowled better and only got one or two.
"It is special on your home ground because I really enjoy playing here.
“I'm pleased with how I bowled but we start again on Friday and hopefully we can seal the series."
Broad and Notts team mate Samit Patel will hope to retain their place in the side for Friday’s fixture against South Africa at The Oval.
