Ryan Sidebottom bowled six consecutive maidens as Nottinghamshire restricted Yorkshire to 51-1 from 30 overs in a day largely lost to rain at Headingley.
Play began at 1.30pm but was abandoned little more than two hours later with England captain Michael Vaughan having scored 25 runs.
Mark Ealham dismissed Vaughan’s opening partner Joe Sayers who managed just nine runs from 72 balls.
