Nottinghamshire beat Kent by ten wickets to take maximum points from their LV County Championship season opener.
Openers Will Jefferson and Matt Wood needed 24 runs from the second innings and achieved their target from 35 balls.
The win delighted Director of Cricket Mick Newell who was quick to praise the impact of Darren Pattinson and Mark Ealham.
"It was very much a complete performance from start to finish and I couldn't have asked for any more from the players," said Newell.
"I'm pleased for Darren to record such good figures on his debut and Mark Ealham's 130 was superb.
"It is difficult to win games in April and I expect that their will be a lot of draws around the division during the next couple of weeks and getting points on the board is very important."
Notts face Warwickshire in the Friends Provident Trophy at Edgbaston tomorrow.
