Chris Tolley has rewarded four members of his sub-Academy for their consistent performances over the summer with places on the Nottinghamshire Academy for 2007-08.
Notts Under-14s team-mates Adam Dobb, Dominic Harvey, Brett Hutton and Sam Wood have all stepped up to full Scholarships and Academy Director Tolley believes their time with the sub-Academy has born fruit.
Said Tolley: “Everyone on the sub-Academy did very well over the year and fitted in alongside the main Academy group.
“They all trained hard and focused their efforts. Their parents all mentioned that their attitudes had changed as a result of what they had learned and that came through in improved performances in the summer.”
Batsman Wood was named as Player of the Tournament in the regional Under-14s competition after scoring a century for the Midlands, while off-spinner Dobb finished as their leading wicket-taker.
Wood also hit a hundred and 85 for Notts Under-17s, emulating Academy Under-15s star Nick Langford, who achieved a similar feat last year before playing for Notts Second XI this season.
