Samit Patel celebrated his first hundred at Trent Bridge by picking up the Nottinghamshire ‘Player of the Month’ award for April.
The 22-year-old has been in sparkling form with the bat in the opening weeks of the season, having scored more than 400 runs in all competitions before the start of this week’s Championship clash with Glamorgan.
That included a career-best of 176 against Gloucestershire and Patel then followed it up with his maiden century on home soil against the Welshmen in Notts first innings.
Patel is pictured receiving his award from PKF’s Partner in Nottingham, Paul Ellis.
