David Hussey’s sensational form with the bat has been rewarded with the PKF Player of the Month Award for May.
The 29-year-old Aussie scored more than 650 runs in all competitions, including a career-best 275 against Essex at Trent Bridge off just 227 balls.
That innings included 14 sixes, just two short of equalling the world record for maximums in a single knock.
He immediately followed up with a 20-ball cameo in the Friends Provident Trophy against Derbyshire, thumping 56 - including 32 off one over.
That helped him claim the Sky Sports Sixes League award for May, with 12 sixes, putting him top of the overall League.
It all bodes well for the Twenty20 Cup, which last year saw Hussey finish as the fourth highest run-scorer in the competition.
Hussey is pictured receiving a bottle of champagne and a voucher for a meal at Merchants restaurant from PKF Partner in Nottingham Paul Ellis.
