David Hussey had plenty of reasons tocelebrate after becoming the first man in the country to pass 1,000Championship runs for the season.
Hussey's unbeaten 114 in the first inningsagainst Gloucestershire pushed the Australian past the landmark, althoughformer England opener Marcus Trescothick beat Hussey to 1,000 first-class runs bya matter of hours.
It was Hussey's third hundred of the summerand helped Notts reach 271-4 at the close of play, and proved the perfect earlypresent for his 30th birthday tomorrow.
