Will Jefferson is stepping up his preparations for next season after organising a two-month spell in Australia to work on his fitness and batting.
The giant opener is flying to Perth after Christmas to link up with respected batting coach Wayne Andrews in one-to-one net sessions.
And Jefferson will also be putting the miles in with a personal trainer to make sure he’s in top condition when he returns for the start of pre-season.
He has already been meeting up with his team-mates at Trent Bridge for twice-weekly fitness sessions since October and said: “Wayne is an excellent coach and it’s always good to be able to spend that length of time working one-to-one on your batting.
“I’ve done it before with him and it really helps me get in the right frame of mind ahead of pre-season, as well as getting me fit.”
