David Hussey continued to press his case for a call-up by the Australian selectors after helping Victoria go to the top of the Pura Cup table.
Hussey hit 95 in their latest match with New South Wales but rain on the final day prevented him from helping his side chase a final day target of 321.
The 30-year-old has been in sparkling form ‘Down Under’ and is the fifth-highest run-scorer in first-class matches with 429 runs from five matches.
Hussey will be returning to Notts as their overseas player next season, after signing a new two-year contract in the autumn.
