David Hussey was at it again with another century for Victoria as he led his state side to a convincing Pura Cup victory in Australia.
The 30-year-old Notts star, acting as stand-in skipper in the absence of Cameron White and with Brad Hodge representing Australia, produced the goods with 103 to lead Victoria to a three-day win over Tasmania.
It was his second Pura Cup century of the season and came from just 115 balls, including 15 fours and a six. The innings was all the more impressive given that Hussey had flown in from Perth to play, after being selected to represent the Chairman’s XI against New Zealand.
Hussey moves up to second in the first-class run-scorers chart in Australia, while the win gave Victoria sole possession of first place in the Pura Cup table, although they have played a game more than closest rivals New South Wales.
