Up-and-coming fast bowler Ian Saxelby is almost ready for the new season after bowling for the first time since suffering a dislocated shoulder.
The 17-year-old, who made his debut for England Under-17s last year, is hoping to be fit to play for the Notts Second XI by the time he has finished his A-levels at Oakham School.
Academy Director Chris Tolley said: “Ian had a good work-out in the nets with us and was probably at about 80 per cent fitness.
“He’s recovering well and I’m looking forward to seeing him play for the Second XI in the summer.”
