Notts’ director of cricket Mick Newell has named a 16-strong squad for the pre-season tour of Barbados.

New signings Michael Lumb, James Taylor and Harry Gurney are all included, with Graeme White travelling as the only front-line spinner after Samit Patel’s elevation to the full England Test squad.

A variety of fixtures have been arranged for the 11-day tour, including 2 x 40 over contests, a 2-day match, plus a series of T20 matches in the third running of the Barbados T20 Cup.

Five other county sides, Warwickshire, Yorkshire, Hampshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire will also be heading to the Caribbean, with local opposition being supplied by Barbados, plus the Combined Campuses and Colleges side.
