Nottinghamshire Cricket Coach Eddie Burke has been handed a prestigious title at the Sky Sports Coach Awards.

Eddie, who is employed as the Player Pathway Development Officer at Trent Bridge, is one of eight regional winners in the Outstanding Coaching Achievement category and will now proceed to the national final.

Now entering their third year, the awards are a way of saying thank you to people who have made a significant contribution to the support and development of coaches and coaching in cricket.

“It’s nice to be recognised with awards but my only target is to improve the skills of the players that I work with,” said Eddie who is currently working towards his ECB level four coaching certificate.

“It has been a good year in terms of the number of players from my group who have been selected to represent the midlands region and I want to continue to improve the structures that we have in place to allow talented players to make progress in the game.”
