With India set to visit Trent Bridge for a T20I against England Women in June, several players from The Blaze could feature on their home ground.

It won’t be the first time in recent memory - Tammy Beaumont struck a double century against Australia in the Women’s Ashes Test Match at Trent Bridge in 2023, while Nat Sciver-Brunt scored 78 in the same game.

However, Trent Bridge has never hosted a Women’s T20I, and The Blaze squad has since been bolstered, meaning more international home debuts are likely.

Nat Sciver-Brunt

Considered one of the dominant players in the women’s game, Sciver-Brunt is just as likely to turn a game with the ball as with the bat.

She is England’s top batter and all-rounder according to the ICC rankings, while only four bowlers have more ranking points than her presently.

Trent Bridge has been home for Sciver-Brunt since The Blaze’s switch to Trent Bridge, albeit she has also represented Trent Rockets in each edition of The Hundred.

For The Blaze, she averages 64 from four T20 innings - with a top score of 96 not out against Central Sparks in Leicester in May 2023 - while her six wickets have come at fewer than 20 apiece.

Sarah Glenn

Currently the third-best T20I bowler in the world, leg-spinner Glenn is East Midlands born and bred.

She has 89 England wickets in the T20 format, with an average of just 15, and economy of less than six.

She, too, has been with The Blaze since the move to Trent Bridge - having represented Central Sparks before then - but also played for Trent Rockets in the first two editions of The Hundred, taking 10 wickets.

For The Blaze in T20 cricket, Glenn has 14 wickets at 13.9 and a strike rate of 14.

She has taken 12 wickets previously at Trent Bridge - with Lord’s and Edgbaston the only venues at which she has claimed more.

Amy Jones

A new recruit for The Blaze for 2025, Amy Jones has been a mainstay behind the stumps and in England’s middle order since the retirement of Sarah Taylor.

The 31-year-old has over 1,500 T20I runs and 91 dismissals from 114 games and has played franchise cricket in The Hundred and Women’s Big Bash.

Only four English batters have more ICC ranking points and her 89 against Pakistan in 2019 remains the seventh highest score by a wicketkeeper in women’s T20I history.

In domestic cricket, she played for Loughborough Lightning prior to her switch to Edgbaston-based Central Sparks, while her move to Trent Bridge comes at the same time as a switch from region to county-based administration.

Tammy Beaumont

Despite fierce competition at the top of the Three Lions’ order, Beaumont remains one of only three England players to have hit a century in the format.

She is one of her country’s most experienced players having represented England 104 times in the format, while she has 340 appearances across elite cricket.

During a two year battle to gain her hundredth international cap, she represented The Blaze regularly - twice guiding the side to the Charlotte Edwards Cup final.

She has 332 runs from her 15 T20 games in orange and black, having also played for Lightning prior to the side’s move to Trent Bridge.
