Nottinghamshire’s final fixture of their pre-season campaign against Leicestershire will be played behind-closed-doors at Trent Bridge, in a switch of venues from the Uptonsteel Country Ground.
Inclement weather in the lead up to the season has inhibited Leicestershire from completing the necessary work to the pitch and outfield to stage the game.
Trent Bridge has, therefore, agreed to host the clash in question, with our East Midlands neighbours focussing upon preparing the grounds for the start of the LV= Insurance County Championship season.
The game is scheduled to take place on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 March, with updates available on Nottinghamshire’s social media platforms and website.
Unfortunately, due to the short notice, admittance can not be granted for spectators, and the game will not be streamed.
Members and supporters need not wait long, however, with Trent Bridge hosting Division One action in a little over two weeks with the visit of Somerset.
Before then, the Green and Golds will travel to the Ageas Bowl to face Hampshire in their four day opener.
Membership cards for 2023 members will be dispatched to land on doormats in time for the start of the County Championship season, with those wishing to join our club for the summer able to do so at trentbridge.co.uk/members.
