Keen-eyed revellers are in with a chance of winning free tickets to the upcoming Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival at Trent Bridge cricket ground, with no fewer than 25 golden tickets hidden in pubs across Nottingham and West Bridgford in a city-wide treasure hunt.
The tickets will be hidden in pubs and bars across NG1 and NG2 from noon on Wednesday 5 October to mark the one-week countdown to the opening of the festival.
The home of Nottinghamshire CCC will host the event for a second successive year from Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 October, as Nottingham CAMRA’s flagship festival returns on a larger scale than ever before.
Brewery bars representing Castle Rock, Blue Monkey, Navigation Brewery, Nottingham Brewery, Lenton Lane and Shipstone’s will stand alongside stillages of quality real ales from esteemed brewers across the country, while street-food stalls and two live music stages will complement the selection.
Those who are lucky enough to find one of the envelopes, which have been stowed in esteemed public houses across Nottingham and West Bridgford, will enjoy free entry and three free drinks to a session of their choosing.
“The Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival has become an inked-in date in the city’s social calendar, so it feels only fitting to involve the city as a whole as the event draws nearer,” said Nottinghamshire’s Commercial Director Michael Temple.
“As the many thousands who graced Trent Bridge last October will testify, our historic venue immediately felt like the perfect fit for the festival, and we can’t wait to welcome it back on a grander scale next month – and we hope that the fresh faces who spot our golden envelopes find much to enjoy during their visit.”
Each golden ticket can be exchanged for a general admission ticket for any day of the festival, alongside nine tokens (for three half-pints of most beers or ciders) and a complimentary glass.
Further tickets, hospitality packages and guided tours of Trent Bridge during the festival are available at trentbridge.co.uk/camra.
