The Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival is a flagship celebration of ale in Nottingham having been showcased in the city for nearly half a century, and we can't wait to host the next instalment from 9 - 12 October.

First held in 1976 at the Victoria Leisure Centre, featuring just 29 beers from 15 breweries, 2024 marks the 47th year of the event.

After being held at the Victoria Centre between 1976 and 2007, the festival has also taken place at Nottingham Castle and the Motorpoint Arena (2018 - 2019) before making Trent Bridge home in 2021.

And ever since, it's felt only fitting that the long-established festival is held at our historic home, itself steeped in tradition and heritage.

Tickets are on sale now, with a host of options available - including a Season Ticket allowing access to all four days, and a Party Night ticket for the event's Saturday-night finale.

CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), the event organisers, were formed in 1971, with the Nottingham branch being born two years later.

At last year's festival, CAMRA sourced over 700 different draught beers from 232 breweries, equating to around 50,000 pints of beer, while a host of ciders and perries were also available.

This year's festival will feature beer from hundreds of renowned brewers, alongside innovative ales from newcomers to the industry.

Some beers will even be travelling from abroad - keep your eyes peeled for more information on some of this year's brewers in the coming weeks.
