While Trent Bridge currently plays host to the international stars of the England and West Indies, last week it was the turn of school children from across the county to step out onto the hallowed turf, in the Girls Dynamos Schools Finals.
Twelve schools, encompassing representatives from all eight districts of Nottinghamshire, participated in the eight-a-side showpiece. Over 100 girls aged 10-11 highlighted their talent and enthusiasm for cricket, across all four corners of the outfield.
Barnby Road Academy of Newark were crowned the winners after beating St Peters of Mansfield in the final.
