Notts Street Food are making final preparations for a Trent Bridge takeover, as their Street Food Festival stops off at the historic home of Nottinghamshire CCC on Bank Holiday Sunday 27 August.

The flagship food event comes four months after the Notts Street Food Summer Tour visited the venue, with this weekend’s festival seeing twice the number of independent food stalls grace the Trent Bridge concourses, across a site that has doubled in size.

Live music, DJ sets and independent craft stalls will complement the food on offer, with tickets priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for juniors.

“We know that Nottingham is a city of food-lovers, but we were absolutely blown away by the popularity of our Summer Tour event at Trent Bridge earlier in the year,” said Aaron Wilson of Notts Street Food.

“This time, the event will be bigger and better than ever before. And there are so many brilliant independent street food traders in our city that we had no trouble finding a host of extra stalls.

“We’ll have 15 traders on site covering all sorts of cuisine – from Mexican to Malaysian – for our biggest ever line-up of street food stalls.

“We can’t wait to get back on site and get stuck in.”

Alongside Pitch Markets’ independent craft market and live DJs (from 12 – 5pm), the musical soundtrack will be provided by Jazz on a Summer’s Day (from 6.30pm), a live open-air evening of jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop curated by Phlexx Records, Mimm Studios and Lush Life.

"Nottingham always comes out in force to support its homegrown success stories - which is exactly what we saw when over 3,000 people joined us for April's Street Food Summer Tour," said Nottinghamshire's Commercial Director Michael Temple.

“We’re always keen to showcase the best our area has to offer – and that's exactly what we'll be doing over the weekend as a host of food traders, musicians and independent stallholders born and bred in the city and county make our concourses their home.

"There's nowhere quite like Trent Bridge on a summer's afternoon, and we know it'll be the perfect backdrop to this weekend's food and festivities."
