Steven Mullaney has opened up on some of the frank discussions that have been taking place in the Nottinghamshire dressing room as preparations begin for the 2020 season.

In the first episode of a new run of the Talk of Trent Bridge podcast, the Notts skipper discussed how the green and golds were determined to make supporters proud next year.

"We've had some really good, honest chats - some of it's not been nice, people have probably heard things they don't want to hear, but they had to be said," he disclosed.

"I think that everybody wants to go out there and make our fans realise that this club means a lot to each and every one of us."

Mullaney also discussed the toughest moments from an arduous start to the Outlaws' pre-season training - and how some of Nottinghamshire's newest recruits were shocked at the intensity of the Club's infamous Gotham Hills run.

And the captain recalled how Andrew Flintoff was a key influence on his early career at Lancashire.
