Head coach Peter Moores has confirmed that James Pattinson is available for Nottinghamshire’s Royal London One Day Cup showdown with Somerset at Taunton.
Pattinson returns to Trent Bridge after Australia’s early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy and Moores is delighted to have the seamer back.
“It was pretty much as planned, once the tournament was over for Australia they were happy to release him,” said Moores.
“He’s travelled down and joined up with the squad, which makes him available for Tuesday's game at Taunton, which is great news for us.
“He’s all fit and well and will have a bowl with the white ball tomorrow morning.
“He’ll travel across to Taunton with us after this game and we’ll then get ourselves ready for Tuesday.”
Moores also revealed that Pattinson will be with Nottinghamshire until the end of June and the Australian will be raring to go after the international tournament.
“As per the contract, he will be available until the end of June, so he’s available, providing he stays fit and well.
“He’s obviously looking forward to getting back on the field.
“He’s been in the Champions Trophy squad but not had a chance to go and play, so I think he’s looking forward to getting out there and playing some cricket.”
