Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is saddened to announce that former First XI Scorer Brian Hewes has passed away at the age of 80.
Brian took-over from Gordon Stringfellow in the official scoring role in 2007 and went on to fulfill the position until the summer of 2011. Prior to that, he had scored for the Second XI since the early 90s.
The Nottinghamshire flag will fly at half-mast during Day 3 of the Specsavers County Championship match against Surrey.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
