Ever wondered about the financial value of your historic cricket memorabilia? On Tuesday 29 September, during National Sports Heritage Week, the Long Room at Trent Bridge is hosting an opportunity to find out.
Experienced memorabilia valuer Trevor Vennett-Smith will be on hand to place financial values against items during an evening, hosted by the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Heritage Working Group, which will also include an address from Peter Wynne-Thomas.
Wynne-Thomas, the Club’s Archivist and Librarian, is one of the leading authorities on the history of cricket - particularly Nottinghamshire cricket - and he has written a number of successful books on the subject.
The talk will take those present on a journey through time with reference to the array of memorabilia on display within the historic Long Room including bats, caps, photographs and paintings.
Doors will open at 6.15pm, at which point valuations (one per attendee) will begin, before Wynne-Thomas takes centre-stage an hour later at 7.15pm. Valuations will recommence at the conclusion of the address.
Entry is priced at £2 with an additional charge of £3 for the valuation of items.
For further information and to book your places, call 01159 823 000 and ask for Peter Wynne-Thomas.
