Kindly note that we will not be able to confirm your b0oking until we have received your completed form to community@nottsccc.co.uk and you have, in turn, received confirmation from us.

 

IMPORTANT: Affiliated clubs or individual coaches who are booking the nets or halls will need to provide evidence of the following. We will check information on our current databases where we can, but where we do not have this information, we will need to request copies.

 

Adult Club Bookings:

  • Current, valid Public Liability Insurance to a minimum of £5,000,000 which covers you and your coach(es) offsite. If you do not have this, your lead coach will need to be a current ECB Coach Association Member.

 

Junior Club Bookings (including coaches delivering 1:1 sessions):

  • Current, valid Public Liability Insurance, to a minimum of £5,000,000 which covers you and your coach(es) offsite. If you do not have this, the lead coach must be a current ECB Coach Association Member.
  • A copy of your club’s safeguarding policy.
  • ECB Coach Qualification of all coaches who will be involved in the session (minimum Level 2 or Foundation 1).
  • All coaches to have a Safeguarding Young Cricketers Certificate.
  • At least one coach attending the session must possess a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Full name and date of birth of all coaches delivering within the session, in order for us to verify their current DBS.

 

Kindly note that we require each of the terms and conditions set out below to be adhered to.

The ‘Hirer’, as referred to below, denotes the person making the application and who will, therefore, be personally responsible for all aspects of the booking and payment of all payments due in respect of the booking.

 

1. Definitions

Indoor Net Booking Administrator

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club staff member responsible for administering all bookings.

Consent

Consent is only provided when the Hirer is in receipt of a letter signed by the Net/Hall Bookings Administrator specifically providing consent.

NCCC Staff Member

Any employee of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Hire Agreement

An agreement between the Hirer and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club for the facility hire.

Licensable Activities

Serving of alcoholic beverages.

 

2. Permitted Use

  • Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) indoor nets shall not be used for any purpose other than that stated in the acceptance of the Hire Agreement and any conditions stated therein must be complied with. The indoor nets shall not be sub-let by the Hirer without the written consent of the Indoor Net Booking Administrator. Any consent provided may be subject to conditions.

 

3. Status of the Hirer

  • We are not able to hire our facilities to bookers under the age of 18 and will also refuse access to any organisation or group with an unlawful background, who holds extremist views, or who in the opinion of NCCC could create a reputational risk to the club.
  • The Hirer is personally responsible for ensuring that the Terms and Conditions herein are adhered to and that any monies due to NCCC arising from this Hire Agreement are paid in accordance with the Payment of Charges clauses at paragraph 19. Where a company or organisation is named in connection with this engagement, that organisation shall be jointly and severally liable thereon with the person who signs the contract. The Hirer is also responsible for adherence to all terms in respect of employees, agents, tradesmen, contractors and suppliers and members of the public entering the building at the invitation or implied invitation of the Hirer.
  • Nothing in this Hire Agreement is intended to have the effect of giving exclusive possession of any part of the indoor school to the Hirer or of creating any tenancy between them and the club.

 

4. Public Health & Safety

  • The correct protective equipment must be worn when batting. A helmet must be worn by all players, regardless of age, when batting or standing up to the stumps when wicket keeping. Appropriate non-marking footwear should be worn at all times.
  • All persons should wear appropriate cricket clothing for the session.
  • No spectators will be permitted in the halls at any time, while the viewing galleries remain closed at the present time.
  • The Hirer must not act or fail to act in any manner which would contravene any health and safety regulations, statute or local authority regulations.
  • The Hirer shall ensure that the number of persons using the premises does not exceed that for which the application was made, and approval given.
  • The Hirer will notify the Indoor Net Supervisor of any incidents, accidents or near misses by the conclusion of the sessions.
  • The Hirer shall be responsible for providing adequate supervision to maintain order and conduct and, where applicable, the Hirer must adhere to the correct adult/junior coaching ratios at all times.

 

5. Insurances, Liability and Indemnity

  • The Hirer is responsible for all loss, theft or damage to their own equipment and belongings. The Hirer must comply with all statutory requirements that affect public liability insurance cover in respect of their legal liability to pay compensation in respect of accidental death or personal injury or in respect of accident loss of or damage to NCCC property. The Indoor Net Booking Administrator shall not permit any event to proceed without proof of adequate Public Liability Insurance being provided by the Hirer.
  • Throughout the period of engagement, the Hirer shall observe and comply with the terms and conditions.

 

6. Security

  • Any NCCC Staff reserve the right to refuse admission to or remove any person from the indoor nets or from the premises entirely.
  • The Indoor Net Booking Administrator reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking, particularly where groups or individuals are found to have been dishonest about the remit of their organisation, the purpose of the booking or the qualifications held by those delivering the session.
  • The Hirer using the venue is not allowed to do so in such a way that promotes views or activities that seek to cause, exacerbate or exploit tensions or misunderstanding within the local community. In particular, activities that include the promoting or inciting of violence and/or religious, sexist or racist hatred will be banned.
  • The Hirer will only have rights of access to those parts of the ground described in the Hire Agreement. Any unauthorised access to other parts of the ground will be deemed a security breach.

 

7. Safeguarding

  • NCCC are responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure that the health, safety and welfare of young people and vulnerable adults is safeguarded. Accordingly, we will report any concerns to the necessary authorities. As a result, you will be required to provide NCCC with evidence of your safeguarding/welfare policy prior to your booking commencing.
  • Any children/young people that attend activities at NCCC are the responsibility of the lead coach.
  • In the case of any sessions where under 18s are participating, all coaches and supervisors must hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

 

8. Emergency Evacuation

  • All Hirers should be aware of the emergency evacuation points from the indoor school and the designated assembly points. All Hirers should ensure that all participants in their session are made equally aware of these.
  • In the event of an emergency evacuation, all members of the group should follow the emergency evacuation procedures and meet at the designated assembly point. Following an emergency evacuation, you should not return to the Indoor Nets until permitted to do so by a member of NCCC Staff.

 

9. Condition of the Indoor School and Equipment.

  • The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the indoor nets and equipment, contents and decoration during the period of engagement. Furniture and fittings shall not be removed or interfered with in any way. No fittings or decorating of any kind necessitating drilling, or the fixing of nails or screws into fixtures which are part of the Nets and Hall fabric, are permitted.
  • Unless the Hirer shows at the commencement of the period of engagement that any such property is damaged, such property shall be deemed to have been undamaged at the commencement of the period of engagement. In the event of any damage to premises or property arising from the hiring, the Hirer shall pay the cost of any reparation required.

 

10. Surfaces

  • No markings should be made on hard areas (e.g. hall floors or walls) without prior consent.

 

11. Equipment

  • Other equipment may be brought in, but the Indoor Net Booking Administrator must be notified prior to the event of any electrical items being brought onto site by the Hirer. Whilst the equipment is on the premises, all such equipment shall be at the risk of the Hirer and NCCC shall not be liable for any damage or injury caused to or by such equipment or for any loss or damage arising from the Hirers use of the equipment to any person lawfully or unlawfully using the premises. Equipment must comply with current regulations and carry an up-to-date PAT certificate. This must be shown to the Indoor Net Booking Administrator at least 7 days prior to the event. Any equipment which does not carry a certificate will not be permitted for use in the venue.

 

12. Parking Facilities

  • Local on street parking is available. All vehicles are parked at their owner’s risk. NCCC accepts no liability in respect of loss or theft of articles from any vehicles parked.

 

13. First Aid Facilities

  • The Hirer is responsible for supplying suitable First Aid to cover their sessions, both in relation to equipment and trained personnel.

 

14. Food and Drink

  • Kindly refrain from taking food into the halls.
  • Drinks bottles are, of course, permitted.

 

15. Litter

  • All litter must be placed in the bins provided.

 

16. Smoking

  • The NCCC Indoor Nets are non-smoking areas.

 

17. Copyright or Performing Rights

  • No cameras or other photographic apparatus shall be brought onto the premises for commercial purposes without the prior consent of the Commercial Director. The Hirer is solely responsible for any licence/copyright requirement or restriction relating to video.
  • The Hirer shall not grant sound, television broadcasting or filming rights without the prior written consent of the Commercial Director. If such consent is given, the Commercial Director shall reserve the right to be a party to any negotiations and to the terms and conditions of any agreement reached and to share any income and publicity derived thereof.

 

18. Payment of Charges

  • Payments for all bookings will be due prior to the first booking date and payment made online.
  • Seven days’ notice is required to cancel a booking. Cancellations made within seven days of the booking will be charged in full. If you need to cancel your booking, please email community@nottsccc.co.uk
  • In the unlikely event that NCCC need to cancel a booking due to circumstances outside our control, NCCC will provide as much notice as possible and the Hirer will be entitled to an alternative booking, refund or credit note.
  • The Indoor Net Booking Administrator shall be entitled to cancel or terminate a booking with immediate effect without notice in writing if the Hirer or any other person fails to observe the Terms and Conditions of Hire or if it appears that there has been an omission from or mis-statement in the Hire Agreement. Such cancellation or termination of a hiring shall not prejudice any rights which the Indoor Net Booking Administrator may have against the Hirer and the Hirer shall not have any right or remedy against the Indoor Net Booking Administrator in respect thereof and shall indemnify the Indoor Net Booking Administrator against all claims which may be made by any person in respect thereof.
  • In the event that the session shall be prevented by an Act of God, industrial action, actions on the part of public authorities or trade unions, civil disturbance or force majeure, both parties shall be released from their obligations hereunder.
