Yet to make Nottinghamshire First-Class Debut

A new face in the Outlaws’ Vitality Blast roster for 2023, Munro is a familiar figure on the global T20 stage – and indeed, has graced our venue with success in Trent Rockets colours.

In thirteen years as a T20 gun-for-hire, the left-hander has amassed quite the formidable record.

With over 9,000 runs in the domestic game’s shortest format, the former New Zealand international sits just outside the leading ten T20 run-getters in history.

Those runs include 206 in last summer’s edition of The Hundred, where Munro formed a formidable alliance with his new Outlaws teammate Alex Hales as Trent Rockets became men’s champions in The Hundred.

The opener’s 123 caps for his country included 65 in IT20 cricket, in which he hit three centuries – a tally which is second only to Indian powerhouse Rohit Sharma, and included an unbeaten 109 from 58 deliveries against an India attack featuring the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Siraj.

Away from the international stage, Munro’s eight T20 titles include the 2022 edition of Australia’s BBL, two titles in the Caribbean Premier League and a trio of triumphs in his native New Zealand.

The summer of 2023 will be his fifth in England’s domestic T20 competition, having hit over 1,000 runs during his previous four summers with Worcestershire Rapids and Hampshire.
