2023 ANNUAL REPORT

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET CLUB 2023 ANNUAL REPORT & ACCOUNTS 10 National Club Championship final at Lord’s. The recreational game as a whole is healthy – certainly in as good a shape as I can recall in my two decades of involvement. We’re fortunate to have a growing number of progressive, ambitious clubs operating inside our county boundaries, and it is from those kinds of environments – as well as the non-traditional cricket offerings provided by our community teams – that we’ll see the next generation emerge. AtTrent Bridge, I’ve been tremen- dously grateful for the collaboration and co-operation of the club’s Senior LeadershipTeam. Indeed, one thing abundantly apparent to me as Chair is the commitment and ability of the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly in all facets of the sport across the county. My fellow General Committee members have provided crucial insight and contributions – with the three newest faces on the Committee, Dave Gunn, Stephen Lehane and Fraser Montgomery, taking on the steep learning curve with aplomb. All of my colleagues have been invaluable as we’ve worked collectively to ensure that our vision and motives as a club are put into action. Thank you to all those members who have supported us in those endeavours. We look forward to a successful future together. “WE’RE FORTUNATE TO HAVE A GROWING NUMBER OF PROGRESSIVE, AMBITIOUS CLUBS OPERATING INSIDE OUR COUNTY BOUNDARIES, AND IT IS FROM THOSE KINDS OF ENVIRONMENTS – AS WELL AS THE NON-TRADITIONAL CRICKET OFFERINGS PROVIDED BY OUR COMMUNITY TEAMS – THAT WE’LL SEE THE NEXT GENERATION EMERGE.” Andy Hunt
