Skipper Haseeb Hameed praised the work of centurion Joe Clarke (105) alongside Ben Slater (70) as Notts posted 305/6 on day one against Worcestershire.
Hameed also gave immense credit to Lyndon James and Calvin Harrison, whose 67-run partnership saw out the remainder of the day after the loss of Notts' key scorers.
