Nottinghamshire all-rounder Jenny Gunn has been named in the England squad for the Vitality IT20 series against West Indies.

The 32-year-old returned to her home county ahead of the 2019 season, taking eight wickets at 17.12 as the green and golds finished sixth in the Royal London Women’s One-Day Cup table.

The right-armer has taken 75 wickets at 19.82 for England in T20 internationals, and was at the crease when the national team won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009.

Gunn was also part of the England squad which completed a 3-0 whitewash over the West Indies in this month’s ODI series.

The series win means England have now won 13 consecutive matches in all competitions, with the IT20 series being the final set of matches ahead of the all-format Ashes series later this summer.

The three-match series begins with two games at Northampton’s County Ground (June 18th and 21st), before concluding in Derby (June 25th).

Gunn is then in line to return to Trent Bridge later this summer with her Loughborough Lightning team mates as they face Lancashire Thunder in the first of a T20 double-header on Sunday 25th August, before Notts Outlaws host Yorkshire Vikings later the same day.
