It wasn't a dream start for batsman Will Fraine on his First Class debut as Notts were beaten by an innings and 83 runs by league leaders Surrey.
Fraine marked his debut with scores of 19 and 30 against a formidable Surrey attack.
The result caps off a disappointing week for Notts who also suffered back to back defeats in T20 action but they have the chance to turn their form around with the visit of Lancashire on Friday (July 27).
