A fantastic innings of 120 from Liam Patterson-White and a knock of 87 from Lyndon James led Nottinghamshire to a score of 470 on the second day of their Second XI Championship game against Warwickshire.
Soloman Budinger also added 58 but despite the mammoth total Notts only had a lead of 78 after the first innings.
At the close of play Warwickshire were reduced to 46-2 with Mark Footitt picking up the two late wickets of Nick Hammond and Rob Yates in the final eight overs of the day.
Notts will be hoping to force a result on the final day of the fixture in Birmingham.
