Nottinghamshire supporters have been urged to register their support after the Trent Bridge Community Trust made the final four of a Lloyds Bank Community prize that rewards local causes.

Two prizes of £3,000 await the finalists that poll the most votes.

Nottinghamshire’s Head of Community Sport Tracey Francis has presided over the Trust since its inception in 2008 and has gained plaudits for the impact of headline schemes including Positive Futures, a groundbreaking social inclusion project, and the Ashes Legacy Partnership, a union between Trent Bridge, Durham County Cricket Club and the MCC.

“Our work supports children and families in schools, in the community and at home by raising aspirations, reducing juvenile crime and antisocial behaviour and making communities better places to live,” said Tracey.

“This grant will allow us to continue with our projects and to provide support to more disadvantaged young people across Nottinghamshire.”
