The third and final day of Nottinghamshire's Second XI Championship match against Derbyshire fell foul of the weather, with only two runs added in the day.

Notts aimed to resume the batting on 131-5, but the weather put paid to any play in the morning session and an early lunch was taken.

However, at 1.45 the teams returned to the field and three overs were bowled for the addition of two runs for Brett Hutton, who finished on 12, with no loss of wickets.

At this stage, the rain returned and washed out the fixture, leaving the result a disappointing 'abandoned' for both sides.
