England Team Director Andy Flower has made Samit Patel available for Notts Outlaws' Friends Life t20 match against Lancashire Lightning at Trent Bridge on Tuesday (play starts 6.10pm).

Patel will be included in an unchanged Notts team following Friday's resounding victory over Durham.

"We haven't played much cricket over the past two weeks so we don;t feel the need to rest players or rotate the squad as we would have done in previous years," said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

"Our form has been excellent but we haven't neccessarily got into the rhythm of playing regular matches which is what we're hoping for this week."

Lancashire are currently fourth in the North Group with a record of three wins, three defeats and one abandonment whilst Notts Outlaws remain unbeaten in second position with a game in hand over leaders Yorkshire Carnegie who visit Trent Bridge on Thursday.

"Lancashire are tough opposition and they have some adept spin bowlers," said Newell.

"We'll probably face eight overs of left-arm spin which is unusual but our batsman have played it very well so far in the competition."

The Outlaws have maintained solid stats this season with no bowler conceding an average of more than 6.72 runs per over whilst Alex Hales and Michael Lumb have each surpassed 100 runs in the competition.

Notts Outlaws team to face Lancashire Lightning: Michael Lumb, Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, Samit Patel, James Taylor, Adam Voges (C), Chris Read, Steven Mullaney, Darren Pattinson, Harry Gurney, Andy Carter
