Alex Hales will return to the Notts Outlaws team to face Leicestershire Foxes on Sunday knowing that victory should secure a home quarter-final in the Friends Life t20 (play starts 2.40pm).

The Outlaws have already qualified for the knockout stages and will be handed a home tie if they beat Leicestershire unless Hampshire dramatically improve their net run rate in the South Group.

Notts can still top the group with a win should Yorkshire stumble against Derbyshire.

"We're not concerning ourselves with what might happen elsewhere but we are very clear on what we need to do to give ourselves the best chance of securing a home quarter-final," said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

"Alex will return to the side which is a boost for us but we know that Leicestershire will be dangerous because they having nothing to lose."

Scott Elstone and Jake Ball are included in a 13-man squad with Newell likely to keep faith with the side that lost to Yorkshire albeit with Hales replacing Samit Patel who returned to England's line-up for today's NatWest Series ODI against Australia at the Emirates ICG.
